Provisional Values
All the values and stats mentioned in this article aren't final, they are based on the Developer Build to which Super Creators have access to. Usually nothing significant changes, but keep this warning in mind whenever you read update details.
A small update for a spooky season!
The update is scheduled to be released this next Monday, October 21st, and today we get to share everything about it. It's a small update that seems more focused on seasonal content than game features, which is great to keep the game fresh while development of more relevant features continues.

Sneak Peek Event
As soon as the update drops this Monday, you'll join the Spooky World Sneak Peek event.
This event is similar to other world releases: collect a special currency to open chests and unlock characters. This time you'll need to find Pumpkins, which appear randomly around the map, with Carrots and with Trees.
To complete the entire event, you'll need to collect 4,780 Pumpkins. The reward highlights are:
Pumpkins | Progression | Reward |
---|---|---|
630 | 13% | Poco Unlock |
2,350 | 49% | Frank Unlock |
3,480 | 73% | Colonel Ruffs Unlock |
4,780 | 100% | Poco Lantern Skin |
Note that these are simply chests that guarantee each of these characters, to ensure you unlock all of them if you complete the event. There are also many unlabelled Spooky Chests, those will give you any of the 3 randomly.

New Characters
Spooky World brings 3 new characters, 1 for each rarity:
- Poco: Common
- Frank: Rare
- Colonel Ruffs: Epic
Poco
Poco and his guitar can heal your Squad while battling enemies.
Poco is a ranged unit with very low DPS and single-target damage. His Super Attack and healing ability make him a bit more versatile, but not enough for a smooth start in early-game, which is where the Common rarity places him at.
Poco Basic Stats
Stat | Value |
---|---|
Name | Poco |
IP | Brawl Stars |
Rarity | Common |
Class | Healer |
Position | Back |

Health | 1,500 HP |
Hit Time | 0.85 s |
Hit Speed | 1.18 hits/s |

The usual Fusion Multipliers are applied for this troop, doubling the DPS and tripling the HP.
Normal | Multiplier | Fusion | |
---|---|---|---|
Health | 1,500 | x3.00 | 4,500 |
Damage | 80 | x2.00 | 160 |
DPS | 94 | x2.00 | 188 |
Poco Evolutions
⭐🌑🌑🌑 Baby
Heals the Squad after busting a foe
With each kill, all the troops in your Squad heal 150 HP with normal Poco, and 375 HP with Fusion Poco.
⭐⭐🌑🌑 Classic
Plays a Power Chord attack after 7 attacks
Power Chord is Poco's Super Attack. Although the animation for this attack shows multiple projectiles, in practice it behaves like area damage. This also means it doesn't just damage the frontline, and reaches all the troops that are up to 4 tiles away.
The attack is covers an angle of 40 degrees for normal Poco, and grows to 60 degrees for Fusion Poco.
The DPS of Power Chord (113) is very similar to the DPS of the normal attack (94), which means that this won't make a big difference against single targets; but will help against swarms of units.
⭐⭐⭐🌑 Super
Heals the Squad greatly when playing Power Chord
The Super Attack heals troops in your Squad 300 HP with normal Poco, and 750 HP with Fusion Poco.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ultra
Plays Power Chords much more often
The Super Attack counter is reduced from 7 to 5. Overall this means the Super Attack will be activated 33% more often.
Frank
Frank is tough as nails and can shock entire groups with his hammer.
Frank Basic Stats
Stat | Value |
---|---|
Name | Frank |
IP | Brawl Stars |
Rarity | Rare |
Class | Defender |
Position | Defender |
Range | Melee (1,800) |
Health | 3,200 HP |
Hit Time | 1.35 s |
Hit Speed | 0.74 hits/s |
Damage | 104 HP |
DPS | 77 HP/s |
The usual Fusion Multipliers are applied for this troop, doubling the DPS and tripling the HP.
Normal | Multiplier | Fusion | |
---|---|---|---|
Health | 3,200 | x3.00 | 9,600 |
Damage | 104 | x2.00 | 208 |
DPS | 77 | x2.00 | 154 |
Frank Evolutions
⭐🌑🌑🌑 Baby
Slams Shockwaves with his heavy hammer
Although Frank's attack is displayed as 3 separate shockwaves, it behaves as area damage that can only damage each troop once.
As normal Baby, these shockwaves have a range of 2 tiles. This range is increased for Fusion Baby to 2.5 tiles.
⭐⭐🌑🌑 Classic
_Shockwaves are stronger and travel
The Damage per Hit increases from 104 HP to 124 HP, which is a 19% extra damage. The Hit Time doesn't change, so the DPS changes by the same amount.
Additionally, the shockwave travels faster (+20%) and reaches further.
Baby | Classic | |
---|---|---|
Normal Damage | 104 | 124 |
Normal DPS | 77 | 92 |
Normal Range | 2.0 | 2.5 |
Normal Angle | 40 | 50 |
Fusion Damage | 208 | 247 |
Fusion DPS | 154 | 183 |
Fusion Range | 2.5 | 3.0 |
Fusion Angle | 40 | 50 |
⭐⭐⭐🌑 Super
Charges up more damage after taking damage
Although this ability uses the same UI as Super Attacks, it's actually a Super Charge that is always spent whenever Frank attacks. This counter can accumulate up to 6 hits.
Each counter spent gives 16 extra damage with normal Frank and 32 with Fusion Frank.
Counters | Normal | Fusion |
---|---|---|
0 | 124 | 248 |
1 | 140 | 280 |
2 | 156 | 312 |
3 | 172 | 344 |
4 | 188 | 376 |
5 | 204 | 408 |
6 | 220 | 440 |
This means the Damage per Hit can increase up to +77%. In normal battles this won't usually happen, so you can simply expect Frank to spend 1-2 counters with each attack, which is a decent 13-26% DPS boost.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ultra
Slams a Super Shockwave when fully charged
If you manage to reach 6 counters with Ultra Frank, this will trigger his Super Attack: Super Shockwave.
Super Shockwave is even more powerful than the attack with 6 counters; it deal 301 damage as Normal Frank and 602 damage as Fusion Frank. On top of this, the shockwave has pushback stuns enemy troops for 0.25 seconds.
The Super Shockwave also has a wider angle (60 degrees) and slightly more range: 3.0 tiles for Normal and 3.5 tiles for Fusion Frank.
This ability gives you a bigger incentive to reach all 6 counters. It may be a good strategy to intentionally take small damage while you keep moving to later surprise your enemies with a powerful stun. Note that taking damage from the growing vines will also count as damage hits, so stepping there for a few seconds will be enough to activate the Super Attack.
Colonel Ruffs
Colonel Ruffs upgrades your Squad with Fusions, and can even help you get more Lucky Finds.
Ruffs is a ranged unit that shoots 2 projectiles at a time. His DPS is very similar to Penny, and despite also having an Attacker Class, he shines by boosting the strength of your Squad with his abilities.
Colonel Ruffs Basic Stats
Stat | Value |
---|---|
Name | Colonel Ruffs |
IP | Brawl Stars |
Rarity | Epic |
Class | Attacker |
Position | Back |
Range | Ranged (4,500) |
Health | 1,700 HP |
Hit Time | 0.95 s |
Hit Speed | 1.05 hits/s |
Damage | 212 HP |
DPS | 223 HP/s |
The usual Fusion Multipliers are applied for this troop, doubling the DPS and tripling the HP.
Normal | Multiplier | Fusion | |
---|---|---|---|
Health | 1,700 | x3.00 | 5,100 |
Damage | 212 | x2.00 | 424 |
DPS | 223 | x2.00 | 446 |
Colonel Ruffs Evolutions
⭐🌑🌑🌑 Baby
Upgrades a Squad member into a Fusion
Ruffs can upgrade into Fusion any of the troops in your Squad. If you start a battle with Ruffs, he will fuse himself.
This can also lead to awkward situations if you try to fuse him intentionally. For example, if you already have 1 Normal Ruffs in your Squad and get another, you can end with 1 Fusion Ruffs and 1 Normal Ruffs.
⭐⭐🌑🌑 Classic
Increases the Health of your Fusions
The HP of your Fusions increases by 1,200 HP. Having more Ruffs in your Squad will increase this HP slightly, but it's far from accumulative.
Ruffs Amount | Fusion HP Bonus |
---|---|
1 | +1,200 |
2 | +1,300 |
3 (1 Fusion) | +1,500 |
4 | +1,600 |
5 | +1,700 |
6 (2 Fusions) | +1,900 |
7 | +2,100 |
8 | +2,200 |
9+ (3 Fusions) | +2,300 |
Having 2 Ruffs gives you a total increase of 1,300 HP, and a Fusion Ruff 1,500 HP.
For reference, Battle Healer gives 400 HP for all your troops, and 950 HP as a Fusion. Ruffs gives a much better HP bonus at first, but the smaller increase means that having 5+ Battle Healers is better than 5+ Ruffs. And of course, Battle Healer also helps non-Fusions, which are much more fragile units.
⭐⭐⭐🌑 Super
Guarantees a Lucky Find after opening 6 Chests
The Super Attack counter is used to count how many chests you have opened since Ruffs joined your Squad, after opening 6, the 7th chest is a Lucky Find.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ultra
Increases the Damage of your Fusions
Similar to the Super ability, the effect is significant for the first Ruffs in your Squad, but having more has reduced benefit.
Ruffs Amount | Fusion Damage Bonus |
---|---|
1 | +12% |
2 | +15% |
3 (1 Fusion) | +20% |
4 | +22% |
5 | +24% |
6 (2 Fusions) | +27% |
7 | +28% |
8 | +29% |
9+ (3 Fusions) | +30% |
For reference, the basic buff of Archer Queen to ranged units is +23%, so this Damage buff ability is about half as strong.

Loot Machines
Vending machines with big prizes are popping up on Chest platforms! Loot Machines offer valuable prizes for Coins, but don't get too greedy and forget to build your Squad. Loot Machines cost more Coins and contain better prizes as the Battle goes on, so spend wisely!
The rewards available from Vending Machines change as the battle progresses. When a Vending Machine spawns instead of a chest, it has assigned a price and a loot label. This assigned reward is random, but you'll be able to see it before you buy it.
During the first 2 minutes of the battle, Vending Machines spawn with a price of 10 coins.

Megaboss Showdown
Prepare for absolute chaos as a Mega-sized Skeleton King and Zombie Kaiju have an epic showdown in the center of the Map! Brave Squads can snatch up the many Gems dropped by their Battle, but beware getting caught in the crossfire.
These two colossal monsters have even more HP than Unicron, from the Transformers event.
Troop | HP | DPS | |
---|---|---|---|
VS Zombie Kaiju | 45,000 | 113 | |
VS Skeleton King | 37,500 | 60 | |
Unicron | 35,000 | 100 |
Balance Changes
As usual with balance changes, improve the user experience rather than shape a balanced meta. We can see this due to the continuous efforts to improve underwhelming situations.
Troop Balance
Following this goal, troop balance aims to boost unpopular picks rather than nerfing the strongest ones.
[Buff] El Primo
Classic El Primo starts with his Flying Elbow Drop fully charged, to be a better starting pick
Another buff to El Primo, who struggles to stand against very versatile Common troops like Shelly and Barbarian.
[Buff] Medic
Medic has slightly more Health, to help boost relevancy
This change wasn't implemented in our testing environment, so we don't have details yet.
[Buff] Goblin
Ultra Goblin drops more Coins to be more worth the upgrade
The amount od Coins increases from 10 to 12.
[Buff] Dynamike
Ultimate Dynamike’s Barrel Bomb Spell can blow up Trees and Carrots like normal Bomb Spells
The damage and everything else isn't changing, it's just this feature.
[Buff] Pam
Fusion Pam again builds a larger and more powerful Fusion Healing Station
[Buff] Bandit
Fusion Bandit drops a portion of additional Gems, to better reward Fusion
For Baby Bandit, the amount of gems given by the 3rd Bandit increases from 7 to 10. For Super Bandit, it increases from 15 to 20.
[Buff] Penny
Fusion Penny drops an additional Treasure Map, to better reward Fusion
This means that the 3rd Penny to join your Squad drops 1 Map, and becomes a Fusion, and drops an extra Map.
[Rework] Leon
Leon has bugs fixed with his Invisibility Spell:
• Dealing damage with Cannons and other things outside the Squad no longer deactivates Invisibility
• Active Invisibility is semi-transparent instead of fully transparent
• Deactivated Invisibility is opaque instead of semi-transparent
Overall this rework seems like a nerf that will reduce Leon's ability to completely surprise opponents.
Monster Balance
Big NPCs Respawn Speed
Kaiju, Rainmaker and Lava Hound respawn faster
Strong Small NPCs Loot
Stronger small Monsters (Dart Goblin, Bomber, Rifleman, etc.) drop more Coins
Average Coins increase from 1.50 to 2.07.
Minion Loot
Average Coins decrease from 1.50 to 1.00.
Modifier Balance
In Crystal Trees, trees can be destroyed by Bomb and Barrel Bomb Spells, but drop reduced loot.
In Doppelgangers, drops are limited to 3 Fusions. This affects troops like Jessie, Penny and Bandit.
In Hatchling Herder, Fused Hatchlings no longer increase chest costs.
Several Modifiers are more likely to appear as Bonus Mods.
Gameplay Balance
Lucky Finds are less likely if you have a strong Squad or high rank, and more likely in the Final Stretch.
Loot from enemies spawns closer to the busted target.
Hearts spawn more often.
Chest Sizes Rework
The probabilities for Chest Taps are changing significantly with this update:
- Empty taps are less likely
- Taps with 1 Baby are more likely
- Taps with 4-6 Babies are less likely
- Taps now have a chance to give 7-9 Babies
This is how each of the size probabilities are changing:
Tap Size | Old | New |
---|---|---|
0 | 40.0% | 30.0% |
1 | 46.8% | 57.4% |
2 | 4.2% | 4.2% |
3 | 4.2% | 4.2% |
4 | 1.8% | 0.7% |
5 | 1.8% | 0.7% |
6 | 1.2% | 0.7% |
7 | 0.0% | 0.7% |
8 | 0.0% | 0.7% |
9 | 0.0% | 0.7% |
Overall, the average size per tap is increasing from 0.912 to 1.057; this may not seem much, but it translates to 16% more Babies from chests!
QoL Changes
Tool Indicators
If you had trouble finding Bee Hives and Tanks, this change will make it easier to find them by adding indicators like the ones you already see with Penny's maps.
Future Modes
And lastly, it's worth mentioning a brief teaser that was shared in Saturday's Squad UPdate. We don't have any details to share other than what you can see in the image.
Our best guess is is a game mode selection screen, where you can choose to play normal battles or something else.
One of the modes seems to be team-based; it could be Duos or something closer to China's 5v5 mode.
The last option seems a new version of Squad League or ranked mode; the icon makes it clear that only serious Squads are allowed there.
